Elderly Man’s Threat on Bus Leads to Unexpected Consequence – Lavender Incident Unfolds

Bus Brawl: A Lesson in Conflict Resolution

An elderly man found himself in a heated argument with a woman on bus 61, and things took a turn for the worse when they got off. The incident, which occurred near the Hotel Boss bus stop along Jalan Sultan, ended with the man falling and injuring himself. A video shared in the Facebook group Complaint Singapore by user Mai Daquan on Friday (July 19) shows the man lying on the grass next to the bus stop, visibly hurt.

The Incident Unfolds

According to Mai, the confrontation happened around 10.45 am. While the exact reason for their argument remains unclear, witnesses reported hearing the elderly man threatening to hit the woman. Thankfully, another female passenger stepped in to separate them. However, once they reached the bus stop, the situation escalated. The elderly man continued to provoke the woman, leading to a scuffle that caused him to lose his balance and fall against a fence.

After the fall, the bus driver checked on him, while the woman promptly called the police. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) arrived shortly after, responding to a call for help around 10.55 am near Block 416 Crawford Lane. They took the injured man to Raffles Hospital for treatment, while the woman, who had minor injuries, declined hospital care.
