A retired neighbour, aged 76, shared that the deceased had lived alone for the past five years. Although he often left his flat in the morning, he kept to himself, never anticipating anything tragic would happen. Neighbours mentioned that the last sighting of him was five days before his death. A nearby security guard recalled noticing a strong, unpleasant smell four days earlier, likening it to a dead rat. Unfortunately, they dismissed it, as similar incidents had occurred in the past.
The Discovery of an Unnatural Death
According to reports from the Chinese Daily, the police were alerted to an unnatural death on Wednesday, January 11, at 11:50 a.m. They discovered the 68-year-old man lying on his back and declared him dead at the scene by an SCDF paramedic.
Upon hearing the news from the police, Zhuang chose not to claim his father’s assets. He has since reached out to his mother, who is currently on a work trip abroad, and his older sister. Despite their estrangement, Zhuang expressed his intention to cover the funeral expenses.
