Are you looking for public transport? A woman pulls her shorts down to use the MRT train for pee.

Shocking MRT Incident: Woman Caught Urinating in Public

Imagine riding the MRT after a long day, only to witness something utterly shocking. That’s exactly what happened on August 29, when a woman decided to relieve herself right in front of fellow commuters.

Around 12:15 am, an intoxicated woman was sprawled across three seats on a North-South Line train heading towards Jurong East. As the train made its way between Choa Chu Kang and Bukit Gombak, it suddenly came to a halt. The woman, appearing to be in her 20s, abruptly stood up, stumbled through three compartments, and left her bag behind. To make matters worse, she wasn’t wearing a mask and had a violent cough.

The situation escalated quickly. Passengers were left in disbelief as she pulled down her shorts to urinate. One commuter, clearly horrified, immediately moved to another cabin to escape the scene. Meanwhile, the unfortunate sight of urine trickling down the train floor added to the chaos.

Once the train reached Jurong East MRT Station, the woman struggled down the escalator until an elderly man kindly offered her assistance.

In light of this incident, SMRT has reminded commuters to report any suspicious behavior or unattended bags. You can reach the SMRT Hotline at 1800-336-8900 between 7 and 8 p.m. for any concerns or feedback.

It’s important to note that public urination is against the law in Singapore. According to the Environmental Public Health (Public Cleansing) Regulations, doing so in public areas can result in hefty fines: $1,000 for a first offense, and up to $5,000 for repeat offenders.

This isn’t the first time such an incident has occurred. Just last July, another woman was filmed urinating outside Northpoint City, shocking many passersby.

Public decency matters, and incidents like these remind us to uphold the cleanliness and respect of our shared spaces. Let’s keep Singapore clean and safe for everyone!
