Eyewitness Fandi shared with Shin Min Daily News that a nearby signboard had been knocked over, and a motorbike lay on its side on the grass verge.

“He ran about 50 meters before being caught,” Fandi recounted. “He saw some members of the public trying to stop him, but when the officer caught up, he resisted vigorously.”

Another resident, Mr. Hong, in his 60s, noted that he saw the rider on the ground, surrounded by police officers. His family, alerted by a loud noise, also witnessed the chaotic scene unfold.
