She posted photos showing the jets alongside a man who was handcuffed. This individual reportedly yelled, “There is a bomb!” causing a significant delay of four hours.
After the incident, Veratheape received a thoughtful gift from Singapore Airlines—a pillow as a token of appreciation for their efforts during the crisis.
Government Response
The Ministry of Defence (Mindef) took to Facebook to update the public. They confirmed that the bomb threat was being investigated by teams from the airport’s Police Division and the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Explosives Defence Group. Thankfully, the threat was later deemed false, and the suspect was arrested.

Another Disturbing Incident
In a separate incident, a 37-year-old passenger was arrested at Changi Airport after allegedly molesting a 25-year-old air stewardess during the flight. This occurred just three hours after the bomb threat was reported. The police confirmed that they were alerted to the situation around 2:30 a.m.
The plane landed at approximately 5:30 a.m., with the sun rising beautifully outside the window, contrasting sharply with the chaos inside.

Authorities are continuing their investigations into both incidents. The man involved in the molestation case is also facing charges under the United Nations (Anti-Terrorism Measures) Regulations for his actions during the flight.
