Rescue Efforts and Response
According to reports from Lianhe Zaobao, the passengers were quickly rescued by another boat. The crew members were then brought to One Degree 15 Marina at Sentosa Cove.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was alerted to the situation at approximately 2:20 p.m. They dispatched two fire engines, two Red Rhinos, and an ambulance to the scene. The fire was successfully extinguished by 3:20 p.m., ensuring the safety of everyone involved.
Tragic Discovery on Christmas Day
In a separate incident, an elderly woman was found dead in her home on the same Christmas afternoon. The cause of her death remains unknown, leaving the community in shock.
