The couple had closed their door around 9 pm, and there were no signs of distress until the police arrived. It was their grandson who alerted the authorities.

Another resident mentioned that the man used a personal mobility device to navigate the neighbourhood, often talking to himself but still greeting neighbours. The couple had moved to the area about a decade ago, and while there was uncertainty about their daughter’s living arrangements, neighbours spoke highly of their harmonious relationships. One resident noted, “The man is usually by himself, and they have never heard any disputes, not even a whisper.”
