On November 3, Ben crashed his rented motorcycle into a six-wheeled truck, resulting in the death of his passenger and leaving Natalie Sng Hui Yi, also 29, injured. According to Shin Min Daily News, Ben had intended to propose to Natalie in December. However, the misunderstanding led to a change in his plans. The family of the deceased passenger expressed their deep sorrow, stating, “We lost our grandfather.” They described how difficult it was to cope with the loss, emphasizing the bond they shared over the years.
