The incident, which occurred around 4:30 AM, was captured in photos shared on the Facebook group SG Road Vigilante. The images show the BlueSG car parked on the grass verge, appearing to be undamaged. After the driver and his male companion ran off, the female passenger remained seated on the ground until she was handed over to the police.

About 1.5 hours later, the two men were apprehended and brought back to the scene for questioning. According to police reports, officers were conducting a roadblock along Whampoa East at approximately 4:55 AM when the driver reversed away from the checkpoint, ultimately abandoning the vehicle.

Arrests Made

A 30-year-old male driver was arrested for evading the roadblock and is suspected of driving under the influence of drugs or intoxicating substances. His 18-year-old male companion and a 15-year-old female passenger were also arrested for suspected drug-related offenses, which have been referred to the Central Narcotics Bureau. The young female passenger was taken to the hospital but was conscious during transport.
