I was curious!” he shared.
For Sabrina Lim, the 46-year-old owner of Durian Heroes, this was a new venture. She revealed that the school reached out to her two weeks prior after a teacher recommended her durians. “We prepared 400kg of Black Gold and regular Musang King after discussing with the school about the number of interested buyers,” Lim explained.
Rapid Sales and Happy Customers
The durians flew off the shelves in no time, with about 30 staff members indulging in the fruity feast. The regular Musang King was priced at $18 per kilogram, while the premium Black Gold variety went for $22. “Some buyers enjoyed the durians on the spot, while others bought more than six to share with family and friends,” Lim noted.
