Liao, an elderly resident, mentioned that rats had chewed through his dashboard camera cable two years ago, costing him $600 to replace it. “The authorities should hire pest control experts or organise a deep cleaning session,” he suggested.
During a recent visit, a reporter spoke to around 20 residents, many of whom reported seeing rats around the void deck and parking lots. Liu, a 56-year-old resident, pointed out that the nearby bin centre might be attracting these pests. The reporter even spotted several rat burrows near the grass patch close to the bin centre.
